Hyderabad is one of the oldest cities in Pakistan and it has remained an attraction for tourists in its ancient days. Formerly known as NeronKot, Hyderabad was named after the Title of 4th Islamic Caliph Prophet Ali (R.A) as “Hyder” by the Sindh’s Sunni ruler Ghulam Shah Kalhoro. The city has been Sindh’s capital which has given this place historical antique places and museums.

The tomb of Ghulam Shah Kalhoro is a great place to see the Sindhi architectural designs. The Sindhi artwork has been done on the walls which gives a great sense of the royal Sindhi ruler. Mian Ghulam Shah Kalhoro was the ruler of the Kalhora Dynasty from 1757 when he was appointed ruler of Sindh by tribal Chiefs of Kalhora replacing his brother Mian Muradyab Kalhoro.

He was recognized and bestowed the title of Shah Wardi Khan by Afghan King Ahmad Shah Durrani. He was able to bring stability to Sindh after the rule of Main Noor Mohammad Kalhoro; he reorganized the country and defeated the Marathas and their permanent vassal the Rao of Kutch near the Thar Desert and returned victoriously. Ghulam Shah also ordered the construction of the Shrine of Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai.

In 1947, Sindh province was the first to become a part of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. The Rani Bagh ("Queen's Garden"), previously Das Garden, is a zoological garden. The garden was re-christened in honour of Queen Victoria. It was established as a botanical garden in 1861 by the then Agri-horticultural Society and later animals were moved in. Rani Bagh is spread over 58 acres (23 ha) of land, divided into four parts. The four parts included Edgar, the Abbas Bhai Park, the zoo and lawns, children's parks, jogging tracks, an artificial lake of 50,000 square feet for boating purposes and a parking area. Apart from approximately 21 species of mammals, 41 species of birds and 10 species of reptiles, Rani Bagh is home to 3,177 trees of 227 species.


The Tombs of Talpur are a complex of tombs of the ruling Talpur Mirs of Sindh who reigned from 1784 to 1843. The tombs are also known as Cubbas (the Sindhi word for tombs). The tombs complex hosts large mausoleums for Talpur rulers while there are several smaller mausoleums for their wives, consorts, and infant children. Several graves in the external area are uncovered and unmarked, apart from a few exceptions. The graves are mostly made from marble and usually have Quranic verses inscribed on their surfaces.

The Mukhi House or Mukhi Mahal is like a castle and is one of the historic buildings in Hyderabad Sindh it is a beautiful example of architectural art and was built around 1921 by an influential Hindu Sindhi family famously known as JETHA NAND MUKHI, it is an eye-catching building which was under the supervision of the department of archaeology, after a decision taken by supervision in government, they decided to build a museum in it. A must-visit and to-go-to place for history and architecture lovers.

Shahi Bazar is the hub of local and confectionery items including dry food, High-Quality perfumes and Itar, sweet toffies and cadies. Other things are also being sold such as toys which are now high in demand and cutlery etc. While the Tower market has a gate as every city has a colonial tower. Different varieties of food, vegetables, meat, seafood, fruits, and bakery items can be purchased. The poultry business has been established and it has positively impacted the lives of farmers and trainers who came here to deal with and sell their pets animals and birds.

In Short, Hyderabad is a beautiful city with immense culture and loving people. The city has been the victim of terror and violent attacks from the political party MQM. Hyderabad is the only city that is hosting the largest refugees/immigrants in the world. The Sindh government is trying to re-establish it to return its oldest beauty.
